Ministry of Environment wants to prohibit artificial aquariums
The Ministry of Environment want to prohibit artificial aquariums. The announcement was done through a press statement.
According to the information, the Ministry of Environment has initiated the change of the environmental legislation, so that the activity of aquariums will be possible only when there will be provided sea water, this way preserving the habitual environment for the marine mammals.
“These provisions are valid for the entire Europe, so that all aquariums, no matter where they are, in cities near sea/ocean or in the center of the continent, are using only sea water. In these conditions, the life expectance of dolphins increases a few times, and those kept in aquariums with tap water (like in Chisinau) are surviving just for a while, being changed technically and without feeling once in 2-3 years” is written in the statement.
