Ministry of Internal Affairs veterans will promote sport among children
22 reserve officers are being taught to be football coaches. The training has a noble aim: veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will promote sport among children. The act takes place at the Training Center from Vadul lui Vodă, while the initiative belongs to Minister Alexandru Jizdan.
"We can implicate through our veterans in talks with parents, and why not, when we see a talented child in a village, and through Ministry of Internal Affairs bring them to Chisinau" Alexandru Jizdan said.
"We will have practical lessons on the football field, where we will demonstrate exercises, motion games, training sessions" Grassroots project manager, Valentin Chicu said.
After two days of training, veterans will be able to form kids football teams in their villages and even host competitions.
"We all win from this, because those children mostly come from vulnerable families, they do not have shoes for training" Ministry of Internal Affairs veteran, Alexandru Ceban said.
The training took place with the support of Moldovan Football Federation.
