Moldova - supplier for German companies
Potential investors have shown interest in the offer of the Republic of Moldova. They also discussed several projects in IT, agricultural machinery, manufacturing of helicopters and related technologies, renewable energy, banking services, loans conditions, information security, food industry etc.
At the same time, representatives of the companies already working in Moldova, Ivonne Julitta BOLLOW, director for Eastern and European International Affairs, Metro Group and Karl Heinz Eckert, vice-president of Draxlmaier group stated they are satisfied with business conditions in our country. Also, they claimed lack of qualified personnel in Moldova. The parties discussed solutions for the development of education sector and how to increase the interest of youngsters towards the unpopular professions in Moldova. However, investors stressed the need to preserve political stability and further cleansing of the banking sector and its further correct functioning.
The meeting attended the executive director of the Eastern Committee on German Economy Ost-Ausschuss, Michael Harms, the representatives of the Metro Group, TERQUA SRL, Kaufland Stiftung & Co.KG, who would like to start a business in Moldova the next year, as well as the executive director, Durion GmbH, Uwe Kuhn company that produces renewable energy. The representatives of the Draxlmaier group have announced their expansion and thus will offer new jobs for Moldovans. In his turn the vice-president of Airbus group, Jacques Garrigue, said he intends to bring new technologies and SMURD helicopters. CLAAS Global Sales GmbHa promised to bring agricultural equipment and expanding its business in Moldova, while Messer Group GmbHbout will invest in the food industry.
The Speaker of the Parliament is undertaking a working visit between 7 - 9 March in the Federal Republic of Germany. Andrian Candu will meet his German counterpart, the representatives of the Bundestag and the federal government.
