Moldova and Belarus interested in joint investment projects
Moldova and Belarus are interested in developing joint investment projects. Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko discussed on intensifying the trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
The two officials have analyzed the possibilities of collaboration in the agri-food and pharmaceutical sectors.
Our country wants to take over the experience of Belarus in the development of animal husbandry complexes, and the Minsk authorities are interested in creating a joint venture for bottling Moldovan wine and cognac.
"The trade value will be 200 million dollars by the end of this year. All the problems with sugar transportation from Belarus to Moldova, have been solved by the discussions," Pavel Filip .
"I am pleased that our relations with Moldova are not affected by subjectivism," said Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko.
President Lukashenko and Prime Minister Filip talked about a project on assembling buses from Minsk to Chisinau.
Officials also talked about the liberalization of freight transport and the opening of a direct air route Chisinau-Minsk.
Also today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated in the Central European Initiative Summit, organized under the aegis of Belarus.
