Moldova and Russia want to deepen cooperation in other areas, not only trade, and increase the volume of turnover. The topic was discussed by President Igor Dodon with the deputy head of the Moscow presidential administration, Dmitry Kozak, at the Moldovan-Russian forum.

Igor Dodon mentioned that, in the period 2016-2019, the turnover increased by 23%. The president says the potential is greater.

"It's not just about deepening trade relations but also about areas like industry, agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, tourism, information technology," said the head of state, Igor Dodon.

At the same time, Dmitry Kozak said that the volume of investments in Moldova exceeded 1 billion dollars.

"Beyond the political turmoil of the last ten years, Chisinau and Moscow, Moldova and the Russia have managed to maintain economic relations. Generating new joint projects, signing new contracts is the main goal of the forum," said Dmitry Kozak.

Kozak also recalled that Russia had taken the decision to provide humanitarian aid to Moldovan farmers who had suffered from the drought to procure diesel.
