Moldova and Serbia will boost their bilateral economic cooperation. The government has approved today the opening of the negotiations for a Moldovan-Serbian agreement on the mutual promotion and protection of investments.

The document will provide the necessary regulatory framework to stimulate economic development and the capital flow between the two countries. At the same time, the agreement aims at creating safe conditions for investors and encouraging the opening of joint venture companies.

The document will also strengthen friendship relations between the two countries and promote the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Serbia.

The agreement will be signed for a period of ten years, with the possibility of extending it.
