National Statistics Office informs that in January-June 2017 the number of crossings of the state border by foreign citizens, at the entrance in Republic of Moldova, totaled 1,7 million, increasing by 6,1% compared to the corresponding period of 2016.

                                                      

In January-June 2017 the number of crossings of the state border by Moldovan citizens, leaving the country amounted to 2,5 million, with 4,3% less than in the similar period of 2016. 

 

Most foreign nationals crossing the state border were registered in Romania (55.7%), Ukraine (27.4%), Russian Federation (8.0%), Bulgaria (1.7%), Italy (1.0%), Turkey, Israel, Germany and the United States (0.6%), Poland, Portugal and Belarus (0.3%), United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (0.2%)
