MOLDOVA CHOSE ITS PRESIDENT: Preliminary results of presidential runoff
(UPDATE 23:26) 95.05% of minutes being processed, the results are:
Maia Sandu - 44.52%
Igor Dodon - 55.48%
(UPDATE 23:01) 92.07% of minutes being processed, the results are:
Maia Sandu - 44.15%
Igor Dodon - 55.85%
(21:00) All polling stations from Moldova have been closed. Until 21:00 voted 1,601,370 persons.
Most of the electors were persons aged over 57.
In the runoff, youngsters aged between 18 and 25 years registered an active participation to the vote, in comparison to the first round.
An active presence to vote was also registered in the diaspora.
