Moldova ranks 44th in World Bank's classification "Doing Business-2018"
Republic of Moldova has registered progress in business start ups this year. World Bank has shown in "Doing Business-2018" that Moldova ranks 44 out of 190, same place as last year.
Therefore, establishing a business in our country has advanced 21 positions and is now ranked 23rd. An improvement is also seen on the chapter of investments protection, where Moldova rose by 10 positions. Another higher spot than last year is spotted in property registration.
According to the classification, Moldova also had some deterioration.
It fell ten places in cred accessibility and is now ranked 42nd. Seven positions lower than last year was also registered in access to electricity. While insolvency dropped with 5 ranks.
On average, Moldova is currently between Romania and Serbia. Out of our neighbors, Romania registered progress, but still lowered with 9 places and is now 45th. Russia is ranked 35th, while Ukraine grew with 4 positions and now is placed on 76th. According to this classification, best improvement was registered in New Zealand, Singapore and Denmark, while Venezuela and Somalia are placed last.
