The government has approved the draft law submitted by the Ministry of Justice which stipulates simpler procedure for the extradition of citizens.

Hence, according to the new procedure, it will not be mandatory to complete all the formalities but to respect the rights of the extradited people. 

The consent declaration of the person who is extradited and handed over to the competent authorities will be recorded in accordance with the law of the requested state.

The person concerned will benefit from all procedural guarantees provided by the law of each party, particularly access to a lawyer and interpreter.
