Moldova to enact more severe fines for mistreating or holding animals in poor conditions
Cruelty towards animals is going to be punished harsher. The Parliament passed, in the first reading, a bill providing for bigger fines for mutilating animals or keeping them in inadequate conditions.
The draft law also provides for fining the people burying animals in unauthorized places. That means cemeteries for animals will appear officially for the first time in Moldova.
The fines are likely to each $500 for infringements related to animals.
