Moldova to host TOP European tourism event
The coming reunion of the European Committee of the World Tourism Organization will take place in Chişinău next year.
Tourism Agency manager Stanislav Rusu has made the announcement. The ministers responsible for tourism from over 40 countries are to attend the prestigious meeting.
"The event is going to get wide coverage in the international media during a year. Moldova will get onto the list of the key European destinations. We plan to hold an event on wine-related tourism at this reunion,” Stanislav Rusu said.
The Tourism Agency wants the Moldovan wineries included into the European wine routes.
Moldova has been a member of the World Tourism Organization since 2000.
