Moldova to send three rowers to Rio de Janeiro Olympics
Moldova has two sportspeople more, qualified for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics! The rowers Oleg Tarnovschi and Oleg Nuţa have got the participation quota at double canoeing at 1,000 meters.
The Moldovan Federation has received the official confirmation from the international kayak-canoe forum.
The Moldovans’ participation at Rio has become possible after the Romanian rowers Leonid Carp and Ştefan Strat had been positively tested with meldonium.
Now, Moldova will have three rowers at Rio, as Serghei Tarnovschi, Oleg’s younger brother, secured his participation last year.
The national kayak-canoe team attends the Moscow-held European Championship these days.
