Moldova to set infrastructure relaunch as priority projects
Projects for relaunching infrastructure are identified as priority for authorities at this time. The statement was made by Andrian Candu - Parliament Speaker at the meeting with Francis Malige - Southeast European Regional Director and EBRD Caucasus, and Dimitri Gvindadze - Director of the EBRD Office in Moldova.
The Parliament President reiterated national interest in implementing the projects for Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline and the Isaccea-Vulcanesti-Chisinau interconnection line, which will allow Moldova to connect Romania through the Community energy system.
EBRD is the largest investor to Moldova with over 1.1 trillion euro investment in more than 110 projects in agribusiness, energy, financial sector, infrastructure and industry. The EBRD also mobilizes significant foreign direct investment in addition to its own funding.
