Moldova will get grant to develop conservation agriculture

Moldova will be granted $4.8 mn from Japan to implement a conservation agriculture project aimed at developing a sustainable system of soil management.
The two governments will start due negotiations to sign the grant agreement. The project provides for purchasing equipment for conservation agriculture.
Conservation agriculture is a priority for Moldova, provided for in its Agricultural Development Strategy. It provides for developing sustainable agriculture, adapted to climate changes, and applying techniques aimed at protecting soil fertility.
