Moldova will support Ukraine in conflict with Russia. Statements by Prime Minister
Moldova will support Ukraine in the state's conflict with Russia, launched yesterday, November 25th. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who expressed his concern about the matter.
"We are sorry, because it is regional security and we can not not worry about it. As we have done, we are the ones who support Ukraine", said the official.
The prime minister also said that the recent actions could disturb the security in the region, stating that "we should not feel this impact directly on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, but the tense situation can not isolate us. We want or do not want this tense situation which affects security in the region, affects not only RM, but the whole region".
Pavel Filip remembered that the Russian army, which is on the territory of the Republic of Moldova illegally, is "a problem for us".
"First of all, we do not know what is happening at this ammunition depot and it is a danger because we need to know their condition", said the Premier.
He also denied speculation that ammunition can not be taken from our territory because of Ukraine.
"They are just specuals. There are official statements by which Ukraine is ready to offer a corridor to remove these ammunition from the territory of the Republic of Moldova," said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
