Moldovan European Agenda remains a priority for Romania. Iurie Leanca met Klaus Iohannis

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Iurie Leanca had a meeting with the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
During the meeting, Iurie Leanca expressed his gratitude for Romania's support to the Republic of Moldova in the European path and the promotion of internal reforms. In particular, the official stressed the personal efforts of the Romanian head of state, which firmly promotes the cause of the Republic of Moldova at external level.
Appreciating the excellent level of bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, Iurie Leanca referred to the symbolic significance of the current year, when celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Great Union.
"Bearing a special symbolic charge, year 2018, as a year of the Centenary, obliges both Chisinau and Bucharest to make joint efforts so that the citizens on both sides of the Prut can feel the beneficial effects of the advanced cooperation between our states," said Iurie Leanca.
President Klaus Iohannis pointed out that the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova remains a priority for Romania and that the European path is the only viable way for the future of our country. In this context, the head of state underlined the importance of strengthening the pro-European forces of the Republic of Moldova in order to ensure a clear and viable perspective.
