Moldovan Government to decide on measures aimed at helping HIV infected
The Government is to make a decision today as to the regional centers providing assistance to HIV/AIDS infected and their families. According to the draft decision, such centers are to be opened Chisinau, Bălți and Comrat.
The infected people will get psychological and legal counseling, medical assistance and support to integrate themselves into society.
Over 9,000 people got HIV infected in Moldova in 2014, 60 % being men. The virus hits young people of reproductive age more often than not.
In 2014, 302 Moldovans died because of AIDS. Their average age was 40.
