Moldovan Railways Administration will pay salaries to all employees
The Moldovan Railways Administration found resources to pay all the salaries.
The total amount of historical debts is over 100 million lei, but 93 have already been returned. The clarification came from the head of the institution, Iurie Topala, after the inspection made by the suspended Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici.
According to Topala, the remaining seven million lei will be paid in February. That's to relieve the employees of higher taxes.
The CFM administration also said that the company's revenue increased in particular as a result of freight transport.
All gravel brought to the country for road repair under the "Good Roads" project came with freight trains. And after launching new races, like Chisinau-Odessa, the number of travelers increased, which brought great revenue.
In this context, the Minister of Economy said that new destinations of interest should be identified for passenger transport.
"We have been interested in working on new destinations, which even for revenue-generating passengers we know how well Chisinau-Odessa worked. I am glad that today we have covered most of all debts", said Chiril Gaburici .
More than eight thousand employees work in the CFM.
