Moldovan, Romanian justice ministries sign cooperation agreement
The Moldovan and Romanian Justice Ministries today signed a cooperation agreement, Moldpres informs.
Justice Minister of Moldova Vladimir Cebotari said that the document stipulated “action plan for next three years and implementation of joint activities of the two institutions.”
“The main actions see exchange of experience and expertise for the institutions subordinated to our ministries, application of EU rules, different trainings, consultancy in elaborating certain documents, or legislative reform, which Moldova is working on,” Cebotari said.
Justice Minister of Romania Raluca Pruna said that the day of signing this agreement was very symbolic, especially that tomorrow Moldova would mark a quarter of century of its independence. “We want this action plan to lead to cooperation both at level of ministries and of those operating in these institutions. In November 2016, a forum will be held in Chisinau to talk to judicial power representatives in order to set means of efficient cooperation in the legal field,” Pruna said.
Pruna pays a visit to Chisinau on 25-26 August. She will have meetings with representatives of the Constitutional Court, National Anti-Corruption Centre, Prosecutor General’s Office etc.
