A 35 year old Moldovan is under penal searches in Romania, for cigarettes smuggling. According to the information, the man was caught by Iasi border policemen near Tiganasi village.

After the control, the border policemen found six white bags that contained 7 400 packs of cigarettes of different marks with Moldovan excise stamp.

The man declared that a person asked him to take many bags of cigarettes from Botosani town and to transport those to Iasi and promised him 100 euros for this service.

The border policemen search the man for transporting, storing and selling the goods that should have been declared at the customs.

 The cigarettes worth 304 440 lei and the car of the man were seized.
