Moldovan veterans of Afghanistan, Transnistria wars to receive higher disability pensions
The disability pensions of the veterans of the wars of Afghanistan and Transnistria will be increased, according to legislative amendments adopted by the parliament today, April 13th, according to Moldpres.
Under the document, the pension of the persons with the degree of severe disability will rise by 1,842 lei and will stand at 3,500 lei monthly, and the pension of the people with pronounced disability will be of 2,500 lei, up by 1,062 lei. At the same time, the sum provided for the persons with medium disability will increase from 908 lei up to 1,500 lei.
The document’s goal is the social protection of the war veterans, in order to carry out the action plan, „Memorie. Onoare. Respect” launched by the government.
As many as 165 people will benefit from growth. The legislative amendment will enter into force starting from 1 March 2017.
