Moldovan young ladies rescued from human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They were kidnapped and forced to sex with up 30 men per day
Two young ladies from Republic of Moldova were rescued from prostitution.
According to police officers, a 23-year-old woman, in complicity with several Moldovan, Greek and Bulgarian citizens, kidnapped young people from our country and transported them to Athens where they were sexually exploited.
Thus, during 2017 and 2018, the investigators and prosecutors within the Border Police, under the leadership of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes, monitored and analyzed the illegal activity of the suspect.
As a result, two victims, 19 and 26 years of age, were identified as residents in eastern Moldova.
The victims stayed in rented building and performed sexual services.
According to the women's statements, they had sex with up to 30 men a day, 10 euros/person but only half of it was paid.
The suspect was detained. If found guilty, she would be in jail for a period of 7 to 15 years.
At present, case investigations continue to identify other potential victims of human trafficking, all complications, as well as property obtained from criminal activity.
