Over 400 applicants from the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region have already expressed their interest to become Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) and engage in EU-related activities and events in the EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) as well as the EU. The EU-funded OPEN Neighbourhood Programme (EU Neighbours East project), which announced the call, welcomes more applications as there is still one week to go till the deadline on 15 September 2016.

If you are an active and enthusiastic person aged between 15 and 25, fluent in English and residing in the EU or in one of the EaP countries, interested in EU affairs, this opportunity is definitely for you!

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in various activities organised by the EU Neighbours East project.

The YEA activities will mostly be conducted online, by participating in debates through online communication platforms or by submitting articles for a blog. In addition, the YEAs will also be offered the opportunity to travel for events or missions in European countries, based on their availability and their suitability for the tasks.

YEAs will notably have the chance to participate in a two-week mission to Moldova in November 2016, which will consist in interactive learning and dialogue-driven visits to schools and universities.
