People who shop overseas products online will have to pay VAT for packages with personal use products in excess of 200 euros.

International portals are underway to alert their customers in this regard and urge them to take advantage of shopping until then. 

Value added tax must be paid for the products intended for the sale regardless of value. 

The limit for the value of purchases remains of 300 euros for products introduced by the land border and 430 euros for those brought by air or sea.

The legislative changes that affect overseas online shopping were proposed by Finance Minister Natalia Gavriliţa.
