Moldovan producers will be able to buy grapes for processing only after obtaining a certificate of harmony from the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) and registration in the register of operators in the field of phytosanitary, writes moldpres.md
Sources from ANSA reported that the conformity of the grape lots with the sanitary norms is carried out based on laboratory tests, accredited in this respect. At the request of the economic agent, the conformity can be further attested by the certificate of harmlessness.
The safety certificate shall be issued on request based on the results of the laboratory tests or on the basis of the declaration on its own responsibility regarding compliance with the rules for the use of plant protection products and fertilizers.
In order to carry out laboratory tests for the purpose of issuing the certificate of safety, the grape producer must address a request for grape sampling to the Territorial Food Safety Subdivision within which the grape plantation is located. After sampling and drawing of the sampling report by the food safety inspector, the sample is submitted to an accredited laboratory.
