Moldova's Central Bank broke a new record. For the third time this year, foreign-exchange reserves have reached an historic new height.
In the last day of January, it amounted to over 2.9 billion US dollars, by nearly 20 million US dollars more than in the previous record from 26 January.
Compared to the end of last year, the foreign-exchange reserves rose by nearly 100 million US dollars. According to the Central Bank, most of the reserves are kept abroad or invested in real estate.
At the same time, the gold reserve reached 3.2 million US dollars.
