Moldova's citizens working abroad sent home over 100 million US dollars in September

Moldova's citizens that work from abroad keep sending more money home. In September, over 100 million US dollars came to Moldova, which is a 10% increase compared to similar period last year.
Most transfers, 36%, came from the European Union. From CIS countries, 35%, while the rest from other states. Most money, 37 million US dollars came form Russia, which still, is a 3% decrease compared to September 2016.
From Israel came 17 million US dollars, while from Italy with 5 million less.
Our citizens have sent from USA nearly 9 million US dollars, while from over Prut river, 700 thousand.
According to the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, over 50% of money was sent in US dollars, 40% in Euro and only 8% in Ruble.
Since the beginning of this year, to Republic of Moldova was transfered a total of 869 million US dollars.
