The International Tennis Federation offered the Moldovan Radu Albot a wild card to participate in the Rio Summer Games.

"Radu Albot was the first on the waiting list. Here’s our chance to have a representatives at tennis. We must confirm our participation and rush to Rio as soon as possible," said the chair of the National Olympics Committee Nicolae Juravschi.

Radu Albot becomes the 23rd Moldovan sportsperson to join the Olympic Games. The tournament starts on August 6.

Albot is the best Moldovan tennis player of all time. In 2015, he reached the 85th ATP position and now he is on the 92nd place.

Albot has participated in all the Grand Slam tournaments.
