Today is a big holiday at "Sfântul Mucenic Dumitru" monastery from Pripiceni village, Rezina district. The monastery has 200 years from the establishment and today they celebrate it with many pastors and the metropolitan Vladimir.

The monastery "Sfântul Mucenic Dumitru" faced many impediments in two centuries. Tens of Christians from the whole country came to pray and celebrate.

''We are glad of this holiday. God gathered all of us here to celebrate. We want health and peace in our country and our souls.''

''I am very pleasant when I come here.''-

The President of Rezina district says this monastery makes proud all the citizens of Rezina district.

''We want to keep our beliefs, we were always close to the churches. I urge everybody to be in a close relationship with the church, because the good things start from here'', said Eleonora Graur, the President of Rezina district.

The monastery "Sfântul Mucenic Dumitru" was fond in 1817, but in 1959 it was closed and transformed in a tuberculosis hospital, by the communists. Since 1995, the church was reopened.

''Due to the people's help from the Republic of Moldova and the ones abroad, we repaired the church and arranged the territory that surrounds it. Today, we have 200 years from the foundation you see how beautiful it is'', said IPS Vladimir, the metropolitan of Moldova.
