More and more foreign tourists come for treatment in Moldovan sanatoriums
The Moldovan sanatoriums are overcrowded. Moldovans and foreign tourists booked places until late fall.
The most demanded procedure is apitherapy - treatment with bee venom. Leeches are also sought intensely at different rest homes.
"There are very many patients from Israel, Germany, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan," said the manager of a sanatorium in the town of Vadul lui Vodă, Sergiu Costin.
"There many Moldovans married to citizens from other countries, so the news about our rest homes spreads," said the manager of a tourism agency, Sergiu Todorov.
12 days of treatment cost at least 4,500 lei ($270).
