Five people were detained. In the prosecution, the police found five kilograms of hemp and 14 pills of ecstasy.

"As long as there is demand for drugs, there is the offer. Due to the geographical location due to the preferences of the drug users, there are mainly the drugs of vegetal origin, the ones grown on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, "said Ion Ţurcanu, head of the INI.

The number of doctors at the Narcology Dispensary is growing. According to data from the National Center for Health Management, over 11,700 patients were in 2016 and last year their number exceeded 12,400.

This man is 40 years old. He has been drug addicted for 15 years. He says that everything started when he went abroad and wanted to try something new. Initially he smoked marijuana, then switched to injectable drugs. Already for four years, the man struggles to escape this vice.

"The problems in the family have been solved, they are already looking at me in a different way, they trust me. I have a grandchild that I grow up. "

Specialists say that drug addicts live isolated and are ready to do anything to get a new dose.

"People are more vulnerable to stress, mood fluctuations are more common, they are prone to depression in some stages of the disease", said Victor Enovschi, psychologist at the Narcology Dispensary.

According to statistics, most drug users are registered in Chisinau - more than 7700 people, and Balti municipality is ranked second - with 1200 narcotics.
