One of the localities where the number of houses raised is Rusestii Noi village from Ialoveni district, which is placed 30 kilometers far from Chisinau.

"People who live abroad send money and their relatives build houses", said a villager.

"At least three houses are built in one year."

"We got used to live here. We have our land", said a woman.

"At least three-four houses are built yearly. The persons who want to build a house receive a special land for it", explained the mayor, Pavel Codreanu.

The experts say that the phenomenon started to improve since the families who work abroad came back in country.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, many Moldovans have chosen the villages. The data of the last year shows that the number of houses raised by 50% and it reached 678 houses.

The total surface exceeded 80 thousand square meters.
