More social protection for Dniester war veterans

The veterans having fought for Moldova’s independence will get more social protection, according to authorities.
Their association negotiates with the Government on granting indemnities of 40,000 lei and the possibility of free traveling in public transport.
"This group of patriots will shortly benefit of increased pensions, rehabilitation at sanatoriums in Moldova and abroad," said Vasile Iacubov, one of their leaders.
Meanwhile the Veterans Union tidies up its ranks to find out the real number of the ones having really fought in the Dniester war.
The Veterans Union now has 40 territorial branches and over 15,000 members.
