More than 100 resident doctors, assigned to hospitals in Moldova
Young resident doctors will be assigned to state medical institutions by July 14. Today, 122 surgeons, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, and neurologists have received their graduation diplomas. Most resident doctors in the 2017 promotion were assigned to the family medicine specialty.
In order to obtain graduation diplomas, residents have learned for six years general medicine and at least four years for their specialization
According to the law, specialists who have been trained on state budget are obliged to work for three years in the institutions where they are assigned. And the district authorities are obliged to provide the young specialists with living conditions.
"I'm assigned to Glodeni. It's not that bad, first, it's not highly competitive, we have all the chances to claim ourselves as specialists, we have a good start from the beginning, plus we have a material support", said Olga Arama, a graduate.
Graduates who do not like the place where they are assigned can negotiate with the committee of the Ministry of Health.
Depending on the specialty, young specialists will receive salaries starting with four thousand lei plus remuneration for performance indices.
In order to motivate the young specialists to work in the village hospitals, the Ministry of Health increased the unique allowance up to 45,000 lei.
"The training of a student for each year of the six faculty costs about 44-45 thousand lei. The statistics of the previous years showed that the employment rate according to the directions reached up to 70%," the Minister of Health , Ruxanda Glavan.
In total, 409 specialists have graduated from the residential studies this year
