The electronic procurement platform MTender has shown its efficiency. Since the launch of the system in January last year, savings of more than five million lei have been made on low value purchases. This is what the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance Iurie Cicibaba announced on Facebook.
At the same time, the activity of more than 450 institutions has now been simplified, which now registers contracts in the regional treasuries. As a result, every third procurement contract registered with the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance after June 1 is in electronic format.
MTender is an electronic procurement system that allows for increased transparency, speed and procurement competition, but also helps to eliminate the use of paper, especially when bidding. Since October, the use of this platform will become mandatory for public procurement.
