National Army soldiers attended ceremony on Romanian Heroes Day
Igor Cutie, the chief of the National Army paid a visit to Romania between May 16 and 17, at the initiative of Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, where he participated with the students of Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy, to the activities dedicated to the Heroes Days, in Buzau, Romania.
Thus, on the evening of Wednesday, May 16, 25 Moldovan students and soldiers from 12 countries, took part in the military ceremony of torch retreat on the Dacia-Trandafirilor Square-Bulevardul Unirii-Boulevardul Calea Eroilor- The Heroes Cemetery.
On Thursday, May 17, the representatives of the National Army were present at the military and religious ceremony of rebuilding the Heroes' Cemetery in Buzau. Subsequently, the Moldovan platoon participated at the International Military Parade in the context of Heroes Day celebrated in Romania.
Also today, the State Secretary for Human Resources Development, Military Studies and Resources Planning Vladimir Iliev commemorated at the Romanian Heroes Cemetery in the village of Tabara, Orhei district, about 90 known and unknown Romanian soldiers, fallen during the Second World War. The cemetery was renovated by the Ministry of Defense's Military Culture and History Center and the National Heroes Office in Romania.
The event was attended by the Secretary of State for Relations with the Parliament and the Quality of Life of the Romanian Ministry of Defense, Nicolae Nasta, the Ambassador of Romania to Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă, the High Priest Petru, the Archbishop of Chisinau, the Metropolitan of Bessarabia and the Exarch of the Plains, as well as local officials.
Heroes Day is celebrated in Romania every year on the Day of the Ascension.
