National Autonomy Day. Government's representatives talk with district presidents
The Government discussed with the local authorities about solving the problems of the schools from villages and districts. In this sense, there will be created a working group where the Government's representatives and mayors will be involved.
The announcement was made by Pavel Filip, the Prime minister of Moldova on the National Local Autonomy Day. The chief of the Government talked about the necessity of the salary reform in the budgetary sector.
"The Government assumed a reform, that is not simple at all, I am talking about the salary system reform in the budgetary sphere, thus we can have a fair salary system for all the public workers", said Pavel Filip.
The local advisers talked about the problems they are facing with.
"We have always wanted a veritable decentralization. We want to be the only leaders of our districts", said Ludmila Ceaglic, the mayor of Calfa village, Anenii Noi distrit.
"We need to repair the local roads, a sewerage and tap water. I am talking about systems that can provide water to 10-20 villages", said Veaceslav Burlac, the President of Union of Regional Districts from Moldova.
The mayors' initiatives were encouraged by the ambassadors.
"The European Union makes an accent on the importance of the accessibility and developing the public services for the citizens. Thus, the Government's reforms will develop our country", said Peter Michalko, the chief of an European delegation in Chisinau.
"Starting with this spring, the US Agency for International Development will release a vast range of actions to support the local activities. We will continue to support the local authorities", said James Pettit, the US Ambassador to Republic of Moldova.
The National Autonomy Day is celebrated in Moldova since 2012.
