National Bank: Remittances to Moldova decreased in 2019
In January - December 2019, the total remittances to Moldova amounted to US $ 1222.89 million, 3.5% less than in the same period of the previous year, shows the data of the National Bank.
According to the data, most of the money was transferred in July - $ 115 million, and the least in January - 86 million.
The data also show that in December 2019, money transferred reached 108.03 million dollars, an increase by 12.1% compared to December 2018.
According to the geographical origin, the transfers in favor of individuals come from the following three areas:
from the EU - 46.3 percent
from CIS - 21.4 percent
from the rest of the world - 32.3 percent.
