Government has approved the establishment of National Council of War Veteran, its components and regulations.

The consultative body will coordinate national policies on social protection of war veterans, monitor the activity of authorities from this field and host, along with non-governmental organizations, programs to promote the interests of war veterans.

The council will also include representatives of central and local public authorities, as well as of public organizations, whose activities include the problems war veterans encounter.

In Republic of Moldova live over 37 000 war veterans.
