The single European currency continues to fall sharply, and the leu is stronger. The National Bank of Moldova has set an official course of 18 lei 79 bani for tomorrow. Also, tomorrow the US dollar will cost 16 lei and 51 bani, Ukrainian hryvnia 0.60 bani, RON 4 lei, and Russian rubla 0.24 bani. And the currency exchange offices, it could be even cheaper. According to experts, this is because the euro is depreciating internationally against the USD and the US economy is growing faster than the European one.
Specialists say that in such cases the importers will gain. As the leu gains power, there is a premise that the price of products from outside the country will drop.
The most affected by the cheaper eurozone are Moldovans receiving transfers from abroad.
We remind that at the beginning of last week, the NBM had set a course of 19 lei and 35 bani. Experts then said that the national currency strengthened by 15 percent against the euro due to the increase in supply.
