National Library hosts exhibition dedicated to Chisinau City Day
The exhibition “Chisinau Yesterday and Today”, dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the Moldovan capital city is being held in the Moldova’s National Library. The exhibition includes more than 250 exhibits: books, photos, documents.
For the first time, Chisinau was mentioned in documents as a rural locality in July 17, 1436. Today, it is the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Moldova with a population of 678 thousand people.
The Chisinau Temple Day is marked on October 14 and is an official day off in the city.
