National Office of Vine and Wine launches Wine Tourism Guide
The National Office of Vine and Wine has launched the first Wine Tourism Guide of Moldova. It is available online on the Wine of Moldova Facebook page and can be downloaded for free.
Readers have the opportunity to find out in detail the history, offers and tourist packages of over 15 wineries, as well as information about the wineries that will open this year.
The new guide also includes a map of the regions where a certain type of wine or divine is produced. Meanwhile, over 30 events planned for 2020 are presented, such as: the DescOperă Festival, the Wine Day or the National Carpet Festival.
In addition to wineries, the guide promotes the country's monasteries and rural tourism.
The Vine and Wine Office wants to attract as many customers as possible in the HoReCa segment, because it is severely affected during the pandemic.
"You should know that the wine industry is still involved in hotel services, restaurants and coffee. We have 30 percent of wineries that have exemplary European infrastructure," said Vine and Wine Office director Gheroghe Arpentin.
All the restaurants stopped their activity on March 17, when the state of emergency was established. So far, no decision has been taken on their reopening.
