Today marks the World Sight Day. It is meant to increase awareness of those who have lost their ability to see and are now facing hardships.
For this occasion "Serghei Lunchevici" National Philharmonic will host an event, where those with bad eyesight will demonstrate their talents.
They have prepared a concert and an exposition of handmade items. According to unofficial data, there are around 86 thousand people in Moldova who have poor eyesight, out of which 3 thousand and a half are blind.
Each day they face troubles, such as access to social institutions, finding a workplace and moving around the city that is unfriendly for them.
