More than 90 ethno-cultural organizations have participated today at the traditional festival dedicated to them. Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Azeri, Hungarians and Roma have sung traditional music and danced on rhythms learned from their ancestors.
The event began with flower laying at the monument of Stefan cel Mare.
Representatives of different communities tried to amaze guests with tasty dishes.
"Lipia is a historical element for us, Azerbaijan. We have the" pahlava ", which we prepare and eat in spring, princesses the most famous dishes are, of course, the meat."

"We want to develop and consolidate ourselves as a European nation, a contemporary one that such a nation can only rely on the principles of mutual respect of all ethnic groups", said PDM deputy, Marian Lupu.
"We are a multicultural country, it is our wealth, such events confirm once again. Now we are in the Gagauzia pavilion, here we can taste traditional Gagauz dishes", said PDM deputy, Cornel Dudnic.
The event was organized with the support of the Government and the City Hall of Chisinau.
"We will be very grateful to the leaders of the Republic of Moldova and our colleagues from the ethno-cultural organizations to celebrate this holiday together", Oleg Babenco, director of the Interethnic Relations Agency said.
"It is also an element of social consolidation beyond all because every one comes and gets acquainted with certain traditions and gradually disappears some divergences that can sometimes be in society", said Nistor Grozavu, Deputy Mayor of Chisinau.
President Igor Dodon decided to speak only in Russian.
"In the face of ethnic affiliation, we are all citizens of the Republic of Moldova: Moldovans, Russians, Ukrainians, Gagauz, Bulgarians, Roma, Romanians, although they are only a small part", Igor Dodon said.
