Nearly 3 000 police officers will patrol the streets on Memorial Day to ensure public security all over Moldova. At the same time, 600 firefighters will be present in cemeteries from the country to prevent any incidents.

Representatives of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations announce that a fire engine will be parked near Saint Lazarus cemetery in order to interferer at any moment.

Rescuers urge people to be cautious with lit candles and to avoid burning any dried grass.

Police officers also request people to respect the traffic law, not to drive while drunk and be careful with our possessions.

According to them, during holidays, crime rises. Most frequent cases are of break ins and theft.

In case of emergency, people can call 112.

Last year, on Memorial Day, in Moldova were committed nearly 120 crimes, among them 70 were thefts.
