New ambitious project. Republic of Moldova might start producing renewable energy
Moldova is once again part of an ambitious project. The country took upon itself to ensure that by 2020, 20% of consumed electricity will come from renewable sources. It will be obtained through the installation of some solar panels on the roof of Technical University.
The project will be financed by private investors from The Sun Exchange, an online transaction space where people and companies can purchase and rent solar panels.
The investors will receive part of the produced renewable energy, while the payment will be made through the renown Bitcoin.
As a reward for producing renewable energy, Republic of Moldova will gain another type of cryptocurrency called SolarCoin.
It will be either reinvested in other projects, or exchanged for money.
The process will be monitored and managed by the United Nations.
Its representatives declare that the project will be a success in Moldova and might be implemented in Romania, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and even the rest of Europe.
