New concept of territorial reform was presented within today's session of Government
A new concept of the territorial-administrative reform and the opinion regarding a more efficient public structure were presented today within the session of the Government.
Pavel Filip prime minister highlighted that this reform is very important for each citizen.
"We indent to evolve this reform, this is why we should make is as efficient as possible", said Pavel Filip.
The experts presented an analysis of the current infrastructure and the activity of the Local Public Authorities. It has established that over 90% of the City Halls don't have enough employees to face all the tasks. In the majority of the City Halls, only 5 people are employed.
Also, the City Halls don't have enough financial sources to evolve any activities.
So, the prime minister requested to identify the optimal model of administrative-territorial reorganization. At present, the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Moldova comprises 898 local public authorities of level one and 35 of second level.
