New hearings on Open Dialog case: Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase don't have a serious reason not to attend the hearings
The second round of the hearings regarding the involvement of Open Dialog foundation of Ludmila Kozlovska in the internal affairs of the Republic of Moldova take place today. The leaders of PAS and PPDA, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase refused to come. According to Igor Vremea, the President of the Investigation Commission said that the two of them didn't have a serious reason not to show up.
"A new round of hearings take place. Unfortunately, Mrs. Maia Sandu and Mr. Andrei Nastase won't come. I want to tell you that they didn't present a serious reason of their absence. I think they are not serious. This is not whim of me or the commission for them to come, but a need. I want to say that we have some information about the involvement of Open Dialog foundation in the internal affairs of Moldova and the funding of some parties, but we needed them to tell their opinion on this topic.
"At the first hearings, Maia Sandu didn't even tell us that she is not in the country and can't attend these. This is why we decided to postpone the hearings for today. Today, they said they will not come, because they want to participate at a session where the press comes too.
We have already explained why we are evolving the session in such a way. I have said why we are doing the hearings in such a way, the case that we have as an object of investigation is with transformational limits, in fact overcoming the boundaries of the Republic of Moldova. Information is broadcast from inside and outside the country, there are some checks that do not currently give us some opportunities to make this information public, and we have announced that we will hold the meeting as we do it.
Of all today's invitations, only the representatives of Promo-LEX came. We have discussed with the commission and we decided that even if they didn't come we will make the conclusion based on the information that we have", said Igor Vremea.PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the second round of hearings regarding the involvement of Open Dialog foundation and its leader, Ludmila Kozlowska in the politics of Moldova will take place today.
