The social campaign supporting young families O nouă viaţă (A New Life), started by Vlad Plahotniuc’s Edelweiss Foundation, has been expanded to cover three more districts: Edineț, Cahul and Nisporeni. Mothers from Nisporeni’s maternity have received newborn care kits.
The presents have been handed Vlad Plahotniuc, who comes from Nisporeni district. The women have said they have been pleasantly surprised.
Three fresh mothers have got diapers, creams, nipples and other accessories. Little Ionela was born two days ago. Her mother says the presents will be very helpful: ”I will cover my daughter with this blanket at night. I’d like to thank the Edelweiss team for making this gesture.”
”We’re glad they’ve visited us and brought gifts to babies. It’s the first gift Melisa has got, and all these toys and expensive pampers,” said another mother.
”This support is essential, not only financial but also emotional. We hope this will increase the birth rate in our hospital,” said hospital manager Lidia Crăciun.
”The moms deserve our attention and care, we wish them and their babies good health, and we with the colleagues from the Edelweiss foundation will stand by them and make sure they have everything they need to nurse the babies,” said Edelweiss’ founder Vlad Plahotniuc.
The hospital management has asked Vlad Plahotniuc that Edelweiss should help them repair the playground: ”Over 1,500 children pass through our institution annually."
Vlad Plahotniuc has told the doctors from Nisporeni he put much spirit in visiting his native district and has promised the projects refurbishing the hospital will go on: ”We’ll try to change a lot in terms of endowment and personnel remuneration. The potential changes, the possibilities grow and you’ll feel it here”.
The social campaign supporting young families O Nouă Viaţă was started by Vlad Plahotniuc’s Edelweiss Foundation at the Mother and Child Institute in 2016.
